Kik is home

We brought Kiki home today. His leg can't be operated on. And we paid $600 just for his stay there of 3 days. Fucking hell...

Now that he's home he's more at peace. He even drank and ate a bit. I had to hold the water container at an angle for him to drink because he can't sit properly. I just remembered one other thing that he likes to do. I know it sounds lame to some, but he loves to jump. And he can really jump. He can jump as high as I am tall. That's just one more thing that he can't do, at least not as good as before. Man, I keep wondering, if I'm this torn up about him that he broke his leg, I don't know what I'd do when he passes.

Anyway, while he was gone, Brownie missed him too. She would yowl continuously at certain times of the day. Everday, they would play catching. And playing is not actually what Brownie would normally do, but after Kiki started to hang out in the house more and more, both of them would chase each other every morning until the floor mats were in disarray. It was really fun to watch them. It would irritate my mother sometimes because Kiki would sometimes run into her.

But when Kiki returned today, Brownie hissed at him. Couldn't really blame her, she didn't recognize his scent. And she was, and still is, constantly on edge whenever she can sniff his scent. She hissed at him because he smelled different. It's due to the hospital smell and the painkillers that they've wrapped around him, so he smelled funny. Hopefully, after he's well enough for us to bathe him, Brownie won't be so hostile towards him anymore. Still, Kiki didn't care that she was hissing at him. That's one thing that still remains the same. He doesn't care one bit if Brownie is hostile towards him, even up to the point of her scratching him.
